Workplace Ergonomic Assessments
At Bradford Physiotherapy Clinic, we understand the importance of a healthy and productive workplace environment. Poor ergonomics can lead to musculoskeletal pain, decreased efficiency, and long-term injuries. Our Workplace Ergonomic Assessment Service is designed to identify potential risks and provide practical solutions to enhance employee well-being and workplace safety.
What is an Ergonomic Assessment?
An ergonomic assessment evaluates how a person interacts with their work environment, ensuring tasks, equipment, and workspace are optimally designed to fit the individual. This reduces strain, improves posture, and prevents work-related injuries such as repetitive strain injuries (RSI) or back pain.
Our Process
On-Site Assessment: Our experienced physiotherapists visit your workplace to observe and assess the workstation setup, employee posture, and working habits.
Individualised Recommendations: Based on our findings, we provide tailored advice, including adjustments to furniture, equipment, and workflows to improve ergonomics.
Education and Training: We empower employees with guidance on maintaining good posture, stretching exercises, and using equipment correctly to reduce strain.
Comprehensive Reporting: A detailed report is provided, highlighting key findings and actionable recommendations for immediate and long-term improvements.
Who Benefits from an Ergonomic Assessment?
Employers: Reduce absenteeism, improve employee satisfaction, and comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
Employees: Enhance comfort, reduce fatigue, and prevent work-related injuries.
Why Choose Bradford Physiotherapy Clinic?
Expertise: Our physiotherapists have decades of experience in musculoskeletal health and injury prevention.

This is an assessment service for those people registered with a GP within Leeds and Bradford, who have a musculoskeletal problem such as:
Back or neck pain
Sprains or strains
Sports injuries
Joint or muscle pain
You do not need to see your GP with these kinds of problems, so book an appointment in the Physiotherapy First clinic instead of with your doctor. The service will provide you with a thorough assessment and advice about the best path of care for you.
What can the Physiotherapist do for me?
At your appointment the physiotherapist will assess your symptoms and discuss your treatment options. They will provide you with a diagnosis, and may talk to you about self-management advice, or provide you with exercises. If clinically indicated, they may suggest an onward referral to another service which could be for example for a course of physiotherapy treatment, to podiatry, or to orthotics. The Physiotherapy First clinician can arrange for first line investigations such as x rays and blood tests. They can answer any questions and help you decide how best to manage your condition.
In Leeds and Bradford over the last 3 years we have seen over 15,000 patients. This is first point of contact and from a snap shot of our statistics we have collated, 99% of these would have contacted the practice for GP appointment. So, you can see the impact our service has on saving GP appointments.
Please get in contact if you are a GP practice looking for a Physio First Triage at your practice. If you are a patient then please do contact your GP practice and see if this service exists.

At Bradford Physiotherapy Clinic, we can offer steroid injection therapy as part of our comprehensive musculoskeletal (MSK) care. Steroid injections can be a highly effective treatment for reducing pain and inflammation caused by a variety of conditions, including arthritis, bursitis, and tendinopathy.
What Are Steroid Injections?
Steroid injections are a targeted treatment that delivers anti-inflammatory medication directly into the affected area, providing relief for pain and inflammation that might not respond to other treatments.
Why Choose Bradford Physiotherapy for Steroid Injections?
Highly Trained Professionals: Our clinicians are experienced in administering steroid injections safely and effectively.
GP Practice Integration: We work under a Patient Group Direction (PGD) within local GP practices to ensure seamless care for patients.
Direct Access to Physiotherapy: After an injection, patients gain immediate access to a tailored physiotherapy program to address the underlying cause of their pain and optimise recovery. This follow-up care is included under our NHS contract with the ICB.
Accessible Care: If your GP practice does not have an injector, we’re here to help.
Flexible Partnership with GP Practices
For GP practices requiring our services, we offer a per-hour charge for on-site steroid injection clinics. This ensures flexibility and affordability while enabling practices to provide this essential care to their patients without the need to hire permanent injectors.
What Conditions Can Steroid Injections Treat?
Steroid injections can provide relief for various musculoskeletal conditions, including:
Osteoarthritis (e.g., knees, hips, or shoulders)
Bursitis
Frozen shoulder
Tendinopathies (e.g., tennis elbow)
Carpal tunnel syndrome
How to Access Our Service
For Patients: If you are experiencing pain that may benefit from steroid injections, contact your GP to discuss a referral into an appropriate service.
For GP Practices: If your practice does not have a trained injector, please reach out to us to provide this essential service for your patients.
Integrated Care for Better Results
Our approach doesn’t stop at the injection. Following your procedure, you will be enrolled in a course of physiotherapy to strengthen the affected area, improve mobility, and reduce the likelihood of recurring issues. This will be within 2 weeks.
